Basic of Road and Railway Engineering

The aim of the lectures and seminars is to familiarize students with a wide range of topics related to communication infrastructure. The aim of teaching is to familiarize students with topics related to the communication infrastructure constituting the material and technical basis for the economic development of a region or a country. Particular focus is placed on land transport and the need to secure infrastructure for its needs in the form of min. roads, railways, parking lots, passenger service areas, etc. The premise of the subject is to provide knowledge about the needs of designers to ensure efficient and safe road and railway transport and to provide legal, technical and environmental solutions for individual elements of the communication infrastructure, in particular roads and railways. Students also learn about geotechnical issues related to the implementation of works and environmental protection.
